One of the things that has been learned by dropping these blogs online over the years is that a fellow can cover off a lot of bases at the same time. We’re going to do the same thing for a different reason after it became official today.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent messages of congratulations regarding today’s Canadian Football Hall of Fame announcement. It’s truly humbling and very much an honour to be going in with two absolute pros in this business, Chris Cuthbert and Mike Beamish.
This job has its moments from time to time, hell, a lot of the time. But one thing that will always be cherished since coming aboard this beat has been the true friendships that have developed over the years, not only with beat colleagues but with many of the athletes and office staffers too. That’s the reason a guy gets out of bed in the morning to be honest. No group of people on any other beat over 41 years has opened their doors, literally and figuratively, like those in the CFL. It’s been fun and hopefully it will stay that way. Really. Thanks again.
